Midlife. Marriage. Motherhood. Where do you go when the sharks are gathering?
When you’re a woman facing fifty and staring into the void, is there enough red wine and dark chocolate to shut out the voices in your head? Follow the twists and turns of two sisters as they try to untangle the web of midlife, marriage, and motherhood—and find a safe place to land.

Motherload Reading

Motherload by Coleen Hubbard — a staged reading of the witty and touching hit play that inspired the characters in The Raft. Motherload follows the chaotic lives of two 30-something sisters as they deal with too many babies and not being able to have babies as a chorus of critical voices underscores their every thought and feeling.

This production features three of Denver's finest actors – Martha Harmon Pardee, Gracie Carr, and Julie Elstun Payne – recreating the roles they played in the prequel, Motherload (see below). Both plays are by Denver playwright, Coleen Hubbard, whose work has been read at The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ensemble Studio Theatre (NYC), the Organic Theatre (Chicago), Hudson Guild Theatre, and Cleveland Playhouse.
