About the Play:


Ambitious industrialist Scott Carmody's schemes are threatened when he is blackmailed by person or persons unknown. A veteran of Operation Desert Storm, Carmody calls in the sergeant who was his closest ally from those days to save his career, and in the process, a whole new can of worms is opened.

About the Playwright:


Judy GeBauer is the author of Every Secret Thing, which was produced by Modern Muse in 2006 and which received a Denver Post Ovation Award and a Henry Award nomination. Among her other plays are Bobby Sands, MP (Irish Arts Theatre, winner of the HBO Writer Award), The Hidden Ones (Philadelphia Festival Theatre), Doctor Chekhov Makes A House Call (Pittsburgh New Play Festival), The Fire-bringer (commissioned by Denver Center Theatre Company), and Scottish Mice  (Two Trees Theatre, British Columbia). Judy was playwright-in-residence at Denver Center Theatre Company in the 1995-96 season.  Four of her scripts have been selected for presentation at the O’Neill Playwrights Conference. Other awards she has received are an Innovation Award from the Colorado Federation for the Arts, the Dennis McIntyre Playwriting Award, and the Cristina Crawford Playwriting Award. Her play Mrs. Plenty Horses was a finalist for the Francesca Primus Playwriting Award in 2000. She is an arts associate of the Rocky Mountain Women’s Institute, a member of the Women’s Project, Chameleon Stage, PEN U.S.A., the DCTC Playwrights Unit, and an alumnus of the Djerassi Resident Artists Program. Her work is published by Heinemann Books, Broadway Play Publishing, Dramatics Magazine, and Playscripts, Inc. She thanks her favorite samurai, Gene, for everything.
