MMTC’s Outreach Program

•Muse on the Move presents movement-based original work and traditional theatre pieces that explore topics and themes relevant to contemporary life.

•The ensemble consists of a group of theatre students and professional artists.

•Our audiences are in nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and other venues where people do not always have ready access to the arts.

•Current productions include Candles in the Window & Gift of the Magi, Questions, and Story Circle.

•Story Circle sends actors out to communities in and around Denver to read short stories in both English and Spanish.

•Our productions are free to the communities we serve.

•Students involved in Muse on the Move benefit from working with professional actors/mentors.

Muse on the Move, Modern Muse Theatre Company’s ongoing outreach group, sends professional performers into venues where people do not always have ready access to the arts, such as schools, retirement homes, and hospitals. We perform new and traditional plays and readings, and also specialize in creating work tailored to the concerns and needs of the communities who invite us. Our goal is to collaborate with groups by inviting people to share their stories and then creating entertaining, vital, and thought-provoking original pieces that spur questions, exploration, dialogue, and discoveries around specific topics.
